Let's Play: A Neverending Story

Postby Xinos » Sat Aug 30, 2014 12:52 am

So a friend of mine made this "turn based, text based, adventure mmo." called A Neverending Story.

And yes, It's turn based as in: you have to wait until all the other players have made their turns before you get your go. The extremely slow pace of the game makes it ideal for this forum to play it, and you'll get when it's your turn by email. Once it's your turn, you have 24 hours to log in and input a command.

Over the months I have tried these commands: exit, take food, go outside. They all failed.
So I thought maybe we as a team can get somewhere in this terrible game, share our successes and failures and perhaps catch up to the leader(s) of the game.

Get hyped! 8-)

Hmm ok, seems very... minimalist. I don't see any way to quit, so I guess I'm stuck with it. :P What happens if you miss your turn?

It just passes on to the next person. I should suggest to him that if a person misses his turn enough times in a row the account should be removed, to keep the game somewhat flowing.

Could you suggest he adds a 'forgot password' link, preferably before my turn comes up?

Lol... not only did I forget my password, I also signed up with an email address that I wouldn't ordinarily check daily, and the email was sitting in the junk folder.

edit: remembered my password!

I just arrived home from my holiday and randomly logged into this since I hadn't heard from it for a while, and coincidentally it was my turn. I'm awesome. 8-)

Has anything been accomplished in this game? Is it even possible? Am I being trolled?

I was wondering the same thing, this is why I recruited you so we could find out faster as a group.

Still seems to work but:
