Kotaku are also terrible for not doing any research into the game and posting an entire story around an assumption based on the game's title.

The game itself looks like a 2D worms revolution, which is interesting I guess?

Pretty sure it's just Kotaku being bad at reporting. The mobile series is separate:
- Worms
- Worms 2: Armageddon
- Worms 3

Which is why it's iOS exclusive and just looks like a port of Worms Revolution anyways. Yeah it's still kinda weird, but not anymore than the industry's typical disregard for sensible numbering. :P

That actually looks pretty great for a 2D mobile port of a 3D game! I'm quite impressed! Here's to hoping it doesn't suck though.

Y'know, like how mobile games notoriously do.

I'll have you know these sloppy, unresponsive touchscreen controls are industry standard.

Wow, Kotaku really is obnoxious, isn't it? I mean, I'm not sure why I expected anything else from the network that produces io9 but yeah...
Worm Mad - is he a mad worm or a person mad about worms? I'll give you a clue - it's not the first one.

Well the industry in general had a fallout with numbers in the last decade, Team17 was just ahead of the pack. :P
